Frequently Asked Questions
Who will actually photograph my wedding?
I will. I won't send anyone else, or assign your wedding to some unknown staff photographer.
We're not getting married in the area. What about travel charges?
There are no travel charges for weddings held in the Northeast Ohio area. For events outside that area,
I charge only for actual expenses, and not for any additional time.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Yes. I bring three complete camera systems to each wedding, and have two systems on me at all times.
Are you properly insured?
Absolutely. I'm fully insured...as any real professional should be.
Many reception venues, and more recently, many houses of worship, require photographers to carry liability
insurance in order to work in their facilities. Never hire a photographer that can't provide proof of insurance.
When will my proofs be ready?
I want the product I place in your hands to be of the highest possible quality, so I spend considerable time
with each image during the editing process checking for accurate color, contrast, and performing any minor
retouching. Your proofs are generally ready about two weeks after your wedding.
How many weddings do you photograph each year?
Because each wedding involves anywhere from 30 to 50 hours of time, I limit the number of weddings I photograph
each year to between 35 and 40. This allows me to maintain a high level of service for my clients.
Is there any extra charge for black and white?
No, there's no extra charge. Unless you request otherwise, you can expect a combination of color and
black & white images...with a few specially processed images as well.
What happens if you get sick or hurt?
In more than twenty years, I've never once missed an assignment. But, anything is possible, so I network
with a number of other talented and experienced professional photographers. Just as I would cover for one of
them, one of them would surely be able to cover for me should I be incapacitated.
I love the photojournalism, but I want some posed photographs too.
Family and bridal party photographs are a part of most weddings, and I'll be glad to spend some time doing
them for you. At the final consultation before your wedding, you'll be asked to provide a list of the family and
bridal party groups you wish to do. Most couples spend 30-45 minutes doing the posed formal photographs, some less.
Are you available on my wedding date, and how can I find out more about your fees?
Feel free to contact me by telephone or email to inquire about my availablity, discuss your needs, or
schedule a time to meet and review sample albums. To view a complete list of my fee's...
